Wayne Street

Our first property. We were looking to buy houses for almost a year. We kept getting out-bid and cash offers were taken over our conventional loan, but we stayed persistent. Finally, we came across this hidden gem.

It was a beautiful 1927 home that was in desperate need of some love. The grounds were overgrown, the porch was falling apart, and the kitchen was dysfunctional. 

Springview Lane

Springview was our second house. We won it at an auction without ever having seen the inside at all.

We had rode around the neighborhood, the area was beautiful, peaceful, and a great location for a new homeowner. Matter of fact, when we closed on the house, they didn’t even give us keys! We called asking how we were supposed to get in and they said “I guess you’ll have to break in.” While this was not ideal, what other options did we have? Not the first or last time we will have to do something outside of the box.

Walton Street

This property, nestled on a beautiful 1.4 acre plot of land, was a well-lived in ranch home. It wasn’t hard to see the beauty and potential in this home. On the property there are plenty of gorgeous trees, however, one of those trees was causing a slight foundation problem. This was a little concerning at first, but luckily, we had the right people to fix it.

We dug out the whole front of the house and around the side, cut up tree roots that were causing the problem, poured a thick, reinforced concrete wall around the foundation, and created a French drain to run the water far away from the foundation. Now, this house should stand strong for many, many years to come.
